Laser Therapy

Austin Preferred Integrative Medicine provides patients with a wide array of treatment techniques. Laser therapy is an advanced, yet affordable option for treating soft-tissue injuries. Laser therapy often produces significant results when used alongside physical therapy, chiropractic care and manual therapy.

The Impact of Laser Therapy:

Laser therapy is a safe, effective modality for treating Arthritis, Tendinitis, strains, sprains, knee pain and other common injuries. The laser converts light into biomechanical energy, meaning there are no unpleasant hot or cold sensations during treatment. Virtually any part of the body can be treated by the laser, with sessions typically lasting 15 minutes per body part. Benefits of this technique include reduced pain and inflammation, tissue regeneration, cell stimulation and reduced swelling.

Not everybody is a candidate for MLS Laser Therapy. Patients could be denied due to certain medications, medical conditions or the presence of a neurostimulator device. Perspective patients will come in for a consultation with our medical providers to discuss their condition(s) before beginning treatment.

Patients suffering from acute pain will begin a six-session course of treatment. Patients suffering from chronic pain will begin a 12-session plan. Furthermore, results are not always immediate and can take multiple sessions to appear.

Laser therapy is available without health insurance and starts as low as $40 per session.
