Dr. Christina Veras received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017 from Texas Woman’s University in Houston, TX. Before Physical Therapy school, Dr. Veras earned her B.S in Exercise and Sports Science at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. Dr. Veras is a Native Texan and has served the Austin Community since 2019.
Dr. Veras believes in a hands-on treatment approach, known as manual therapy, combined with corrective exercises, strengthening, movement reeducation, and sport specific rehabilitation. Dr. Veras treats a variety of orthopedic conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, vestibular and concussion management, and return to sport. Dr. Veras believes in creating long-lasting patient/therapist relationships and providing one-on-one individual experiences where patients feel empowered to heal and come back stronger following an injury.
Dr. Veras has advanced training in orthopedic physical therapy, sports rehabilitation, and manual therapy. She is a Certified Sports and Orthopedic Manual Therapist (CSOMT), Running Rehabilitation Specialist (RSS), and Certified in Dry Needling. Dr. Veras believes that exercise is medicine and purposeful training produces impactful results.
During her free time, Dr. Veras enjoys practicing pilates, strength training, walking Town Lake, and close company of family and friends.
