Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome occurs when the Median Nerve, which runs from the spine through the arm, becomes pinched because of repetitive wrist motion. This condition, which is often the result of everyday activities such as typing or lifting objects, causes pain or numbness in the hands and arms. This can make routine motions painful for some individuals.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Treatment:

Austin Preferred Integrative Medicine commonly treats patients with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and has achieved positive outcomes using multiple techniques. Patients will first meet with one of our medical providers for an initial evaluation before a treatment plan is determined.

Our staff works closely with each patient to accurately diagnose and treat the source of the issue. Austin Preferred’s approach has previously helped patients avoid surgery to correct Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The¬†medical providers usually recommend non-invasive techniques including wrist splints, manual exercises, Chiropractic Care, Physical Therapy and/or the Graston Technique. Our Holistic Medical Practitioner can also prescribe more direct treatments like anti-inflammatory medications or injections.
