Neuropathy is a general term that refers to malfunctions of the nerves. Nerve damage can result from different conditions, injuries, infections or vitamin deficiencies. Approximately 20 million Americans suffer from some form of Neuropathy, with 3 million new cases reported annually. Symptoms almost always begin in the extremities with loss of feeling, numbness, tingling or pain, and move toward the center of the body.
